Dr. Carley Schleien earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University, with advanced coursework in Adult Neuro-Rehabilitation. While a student at Columbia, Carley gained valuable experience in treating a vast spectrum of patients in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics/sports, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care. Prior to completing her doctoral studies, Carley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.

Carley has a passion for helping others and working with each of her patients using an individualized plan of care. After graduating with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, Carley worked at a top outpatient orthopedics clinic in New York City, where she treated a diverse patient population. Carley then moved to San Diego, CA, where she worked at a premier outpatient orthopedics and aquatic therapy clinic. Carley had the pleasure of treating various patient populations both on land and in the water, including surfers and members of the Armed Forces.

Carley has developed a passion for treating runners and analyzing running gait patterns. She has taken courses through the University of St. Augustine, the Science of Running Medicine Symposium at Johns Hopkins University, and Columbia University to gain advanced knowledge and skills in analyzing runners and helping them achieve their running goals. Carley had the pleasure of leading a Running Analysis program in New York City, where she was able to work with both novice runners and runners who qualified for the Olympic Trials. Through these experiences, she has developed a collaborative and empathetic approach to treat her patients and help them return to the daily and recreational activities they enjoy.

Born in Westchester, NY and raised in Miami, FL, Carley loves to explore new areas and travel in her free time. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, baking, cooking, and playing with her dog, and she is excited to be back on the East Coast.
