Most concussions or mild Traumatic Brain Injuries (mTBI) resolve in a day or 2. Many athletes can get an mTBI as a sports-related injury. There are many symptoms that you need to watch out for:
- headache
- confusion
- lack of coordination
- memory loss
- nausea
- vomiting
- dizziness
- ringing in the ears
- sleepiness
- excessive fatigue
If symptoms do not resolve in a week or 2 then perhaps physical therapy may be the answer to help you recover faster. Physical Therapy can help because this type of injury can affect your balance (vestibular system), sight (ocular), and muscles (musculoskeletal).
